The Project
Timber Mart aimed to modernize Timbernet, the central platform used to exchange information, agreements, rebates and news with their suppliers and members.
The Solution
After an extensive Discovery phase to analyze the existing system and identify the new requirements and features, as well as define the needs of all the different users. The new platform centralizes and digitalizes processes between all stakeholders, improving the user experience and providing a new mobile interface.
The 3-year project was released in three phases and was launched officially at the beginning of 2024. Deemed an official trusted partner, Spiria is now working towards its next project with the Timber Mart team.
Digital transformation of sales and customer service processes.
The Project
Northern Cables sought to update its sales and customer-service procedures and substantially reduce staff’s manual-entry tasks.
The Solution
The project launched with an in-depth discovery phase, which involved stakeholders from the management, sales, IT, and customer service teams. The group effort reached beyond the company’s walls. A key client was called upon to share its opinion in a focus group, to make sure that the solution exactly matched the need.
Finally, the solution went live after several cycles of quality assurance. Spiria’s support and maintenance team was in charge of ensuring the platform’s seamless operation.
Developing a modern enterprise mobility platform.
The Project
In 2014, British Columbia Milk Marketing Board, Alberta Milk, and Dairy Farmers of Manitoba formed a partnership to set up a common information system to gather data on milk collection and transportation across the three provinces.
The Solution
The new enterprise mobility platform consisted of a mobile application on the hauler’s device to record and transmit data, a web application dashboard for managers to monitor their routes in real-time, and an integration module that checks and consolidates the gathered data before sending it to each province's accounting systems.
Optimizing mobile monitoring of production assets.
The Project
Power Factors helps customers optimize their renewable energy production assets, supporting the management of nearly 200 gigawatts of energy storage worldwide. What Power Factors needed was proven UX/UI expertise teamed with equally experienced iOS developers to complete the project in a timely manner.
The Solution
During the start-up phase, a detailed analysis of the situation and an exploration of standard user profiles (personas) provided Spiria’s team with a better understanding of the client’s needs.
Based on this information, Spiria’s UX experts worked closely with Power Factors' teams to develop functional prototypes after which the native iOS development process went through a regular Agile sprint cycle ending in quality assurance. The first iteration, available in Apple’s App Store, proved popular with its intended users and perfectly complements the Power Factors Drive platform.
After four months of hard work, Spiria delivered on their promises of timelines and budget. The end product exceeded our expectations, and most importantly our customers love the solutions provided in this new web-based platform. I would highly recommend Spiria for your next project.
